You will need to fill out the application form in your state in order to obtain a nativity certificate. Once you have filled out the application form, you will need to submit the form, either online or in person at the Government office. Depending on your state of origin, you will also have to meet certain eligibility criteria. For example, in the state of Tamil Nadu, you can download the form from the Tamil Nadu government’s website, and file the application in person. In order to be eligible for a nativity certificate, you should have a permanent address in Tamil Nadu. You or your relations should have lived in Tamil Nadu for a period of ten years or more. If you are married to someone who is eligible for a nativity certificate, then you will also be eligible for a nativity certificate from Tamil Nadu. The exact rules and criteria would differ slightly from state to state. So make sure that you contact the state authorities well in advance to avoid last-minute hiccups.
